Acting on a petition from more than 65 percent of the residents of the district, the Sweden Town Board approved the formation of the Lake Road Redman Road Water District at its January 21, 2020 special meeting. The district also includes properties on Countryview Terrace.
The town immediately filed the formation with the Department of State and Monroe County. It will take several months of engineering and submissions to Rural Development before the project can be put out to competitive bid. The town hopes to begin construction late in the summer; the project will likely span two construction seasons.
