New formula to determine numbers is a net 3-day average.
Total Hospitalizations 18,335, 2,253 New 
ICU Patient Admissions – -20
Intubations – -7
Deaths in Nursing Homes – 45, in Hospitals 707
Deaths  in New York –  752 New Deaths
Will be reporting all categories of fatalities according to new CDC guidelines.
Need to build a bridge to a “new normal.” Best tool to reopen is large scale testing. Test-Trace-Isolate. New York will coordinate statewide testing.
Re-opening factors – How essential is the business, service or product. What is the risk of “infection spread” of the business.
To stop the spread all people in public in New York must have mask or mouth/nose covering.
New York will be giving ventilators to neighboring states.

  • Governor Cuomo issues an executive order requiring nursing homes to inform family members of residents of COVID-19 cases.
  • Governor Cuomo issues executive order allowing individuals assisting with COVID-19 response to stay in a hotel in New York City for more than 28 days without becoming a tenant.
  • SUNY and CUNY are using 3D printers to produce personal protective equipment for frontline medical workers.
  • Governor Cuomo and several northeast state Governors announced the creation of a multi-state council to restore the economy.
  • New COVID-19 testing facilities are opening downstate, primarily in minority communities. Find testing site locations and hours or operation.
  • New Yorkers who have recovered from COVID-19 are encouraged to donate blood. Here’s information on how to donate.
  • New Yorkers without health insurance can apply through NY State of Health through May 15, 2020; must apply within 60 days of losing coverage.
  • New Yorkers can call the COVID-19 Emotional Support Hotline at 1-844-863-9314 for mental health counseling.
  • Testing is free for all eligible New Yorkers as ordered by a health care provider.
  • Your local health department is your community contact for COVID-19 concerns.

Concerns regarding the EO for face coverings.

EMS says that the County is out of Gowns.

Schools have enough masks for the rest of the school year.

Schools still doing security checks, making sure people aren’t on facilities.

Fire Dept. and Police will start wearing masks any time in public.

Canal Days and Carnival are cancelled.
