Parma Public Library offers front door pickup

Beginning Monday, June 15, the Parma Public Library will be offering contactless front door pickup of library materials. This service is offered for any Monroe County Library Card holder who needs library materials including books, books on CD, movie and series DVDs, and music CDs. The library building remains closed to the public.

Patrons can call the Parma Public Library at 392-8350 Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to request up to 10 items for pickup. The Library staff will find the available materials and call to schedule a 15-minute pickup time. Pickups will be scheduled between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Patrons are asked to show up promptly at their scheduled time to help maintain proper social distancing. Pickups will most likely not be the same day.

When arriving for a scheduled pickup, patrons should park in the library lot, call the library to say they have arrived, proceed to the front door, show their ID through the window glass, pick up their materials and leave. Library staff will be sanitizing all contact surfaces between scheduled pickups to help keep the community safe.

Items available may be limited. Patrons may want to think about read-alike or same subject authors or try someone new. Library staff will be happy to assist with finding books and authors. The parking lot side book drop is now open. Donations should be saved until Mainly Books is open for business.
