Reverend Michael Sloan and Jessilou Vaccarelli, Christian Ed Director, of the First Congregational Church of Spencerport UCC will bless students’ school backpacks outside the church on Thursday, September 3, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Families should drive up in front of the church located at 65 Church Street, Spencerport, and stop at the sidewalk. Students should roll down the car window and hold up their backpack. There is no need to leave the car. Pastor will offer a blessing and give each student a “blessed” tag to tie on his or her backpack. For information, call the church office at 352-3448.
