Genesee County 4-H Flower Fair results

Genesee County 4-H members participated in the 4-H Flower Fair at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Office on August 17 through 19. Over 20 cut flower projects were entered by 4-H youth.  With the County Fair canceled this year, the 4-H Flower Fair was an opportunity for members to have their cut flower projects evaluated.  Genesee County Master Gardener Volunteers judged projects for their overall quality, uniformity, color, and being free of insects and disease.

4-H Flower Fair Class Champions were Helena Kotarski for Sunflower and Floral Arrangement, Kara Goodenow for Gladiolus and Cut Flowers, and Gia Zuber for Cut Flower Collection

The Genesee County 4-H Program is a youth development program for youth ages five to 18.  New 4-H youth members, adult volunteers, and clubs are always welcome.  For information, contact the 4-H Office, genesee4h@cornell.edu or 343-3040 ext. 131.
