Spencerport Rotary Club sees needs in the community

The success of the Spencerport Rotary Club’s annual golf tournament, chaired by Ann and Dave DeMers, allowed the club to make a donation to Eagle Star Housing. This non-profit organization provides veterans who have become homeless a safe place to live while they regain independence and self-sufficiency. Through support, food security, and education in life skills, Eagle Star Housing is committed to ensuring all veterans have a safe place to sleep at night, while maintaining a long-term goal of assisting each veteran find and secure, permanent, and stable housing. The Spencerport Rotary Club felt the Spencerport Firemen’s Exempt Club had a great need for donations this year given the cancellation of the annual carnival. The $250 donation also served as a “Thank You” for all that the all volunteer fire department and the Exempts Club does for the community.
