On January 31, 2021, the Churchville Riga Lions Club put on their famous chicken barbecue at the Riga Highway Garage. Members braved the elements with high temperatures only in the single digits to cook over 800 dinners. Twenty dinners were donated to the front-line workers at Unity Hospital for their continued dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic (lower right photo). Thanks to generous community support, the remaining profits will be used to help children and families in the community throughout the year.
