I have followed this situation since almost the beginning. I do not condone dog bites and of course never like to see it happen. But we live in a society that sometimes this happens. I feel this situation has been handled extremely poorly on the behalf of the Ogden authorities. The victim does not know what dog bit her. With that said, you can’t sentence a dog to death without having a clear cut case. Vanessa was taken away and then treated EXTREMELY poorly by Odgen. Down right animal abuse. There is too many conflicts of interest and good ol boys club examples on how this case has been handled. Let’s say this dog indeed bit the victim….would this be happening of she bit anyone else? I highly doubt it. There are too many holes here. The dog deserves to go home to her family, who have obviously committed to making sure she is not set up to fail again. It is an over reach of power and clearly has many red flags of how those in “authority” have used their positions incorrectly. All while completely abusing this dog. Anyone that thinks that the Town of Ogden has handled this situation correctly can’t like dogs.
