Having a hard time understanding

It’s disheartening that an animal is so easily murdered when a bite occurs. Humans have a fight or flight instinct, animals are not really that different….for some reason which we will never know, some dog (and I say some dog because of the facts of the testimony), bit the lady. Did anyone ever question what the person did to provoke the incident?

Vanessa has a loving home and an owner who is more than willing to do whatever is possible to ensure Vanessa could not be put in that situation again and they refuse to let her go home. It is my opinion that the judge felt the heat of the people’s voice to not murder Vanessa, but his pride was too great to let the owner “win” so he had to take one more jab to “show his power and position” by not letting her go home.

Is it sad the woman was bit, yes. But again, Vanessa’s owner was willing to take precautions (despite the fact it may not have been his animal) to ensure a safer environment. How can people have so much hatred in their hearts. If you can’t forgive an animal, I cringe to think of how these people who react to a human.
