During a break in the rain on Friday, July 16, the Sweden Democratic Committee hosted a S’mores Making Party at Corbett Park in Brockport. The event followed a short meeting where attendees met potential State Supreme Court candidate Maurice Verrillo and Field Organizer Nayeliz Santiago, plus Congressman Joe Morelle gave an update from Washington, D.C. Congressman Morelle praised the quality of the team in the Biden administration as “the best and the brightest.” The Congressman was enthusiastic about the recent change to distribute the Child Tax Credit monthly instead of when filing taxes, calling it a boon to all families and one that might cut child poverty in half.
