Peddlers Market returns to the Morgan-Manning House

The Peddlers Market, Community Household and Carriage House Sale will be held on Saturday, September 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the grounds of the Morgan-Manning House, at the corner of Main Street and South Street in Brockport. The event will be held rain or shine.

Individual vendors will be set up on the lawn, selling everything from artistic, hand-crafted items to books, Tupperware, and garage sale items. The Carriage House Sale, which directly supports the Morgan-Manning House, will be on the back lot. A variety of items, including antiques, china, small appliances, books, and holiday decorations will be offered. Larger furniture will be sold outside.

A special raffle item will be featured this year – a fall-themed quilt donated by the quilting group that has met at the Morgan-Manning House since the 1970s. The quilters disbanded this year and presented the quilt as a parting gift. The winning ticket will be drawn at about 1:30 p.m. the day of the sale. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5 and can be purchased ahead of time at the Morgan-Manning House or on the day of the event. One does not need to be present to win. All proceeds will benefit the Western Monroe Historical Society and the preservation of the Morgan-Manning House.

Vendor spots may still be open on the day of the sale. Vendors who arrive between 7 and 8 a.m. on the day of the event, with the $20 fee, can claim one of these openings.
