On November 4, former Rochester City Police Chief La’Ron Singletary announced his candidacy for New York’s 25th Congressional District.
Singletary addressed those gathered by saying, “I am not a career politician. But let me tell you what I am; I am a public servant who cares about public service who cares about you, the people. I am a public servant who knows about leadership. I am a public servant who cares about integrity. I am a public servant who cares about the responsibility and the weight of the oath of office that I take when I raise my right hand to serve and carry out the mission. And my mission is quite clear, to represent all of the people in New York’s 25th Congressional District. Not some, not the few, but all of the people.”
