Spencerport Volunteer Firemen’s Association announces 2022 officers

The Spencerport Volunteer Firemen’s Association proudly announces their Line and Civil Officers for 2022. At a December 9 association meeting, the following were elected to serve the department and the community for the next year.

Chief of Department Tom Clark will lead fire department operations again in 2022. Returning Deputy Fire Chief Mitch Flagg and Assistant Fire Chiefs Joe Barretta and Jake Bromage will move into their new roles. Captains Tom Meier, Doug McPherson, and Tom Sercu along with Lieutenants Alex Ciaccia, Cole Tresohlavy, and Richard Timothy Magin will assist in day to day operations and training.

Board of Director’s President Chris Damon continues in his role, assisted by 1st Vice President Adrian DeJesus and 2nd Vice President Aaron Baker. Also re-elected to serve as Directors are Glenn Heininger and Michael Magin.

Our 100% volunteer fire department is dedicated to providing top notch fire protection to our community. More than 100 firefighters respond out of three stations 24 hours a day, every day. Thus far in 2021 we’ve answered the call more than 970 times, with nearly 60 calls coming during our most recent wind event. It’s what we’re trained for and why we’re here!

Our members would also like to take this moment to thank the many of you who have contributed to our annual fund drive. Your tax deductible donations will be used appropriately, to best maintain the 100% volunteer membership and allow us to continue our mission.

Stephen P. Cusenz, Secretary
Spencerport Volunteer Firemen’s Association
