National Croquet Day Tournament

The wild and windy breezes offset the heat of the sun on Saturday, June 4, for the National Croquet Day tournament held by the Rochester Croquet Club at Grace & Truth SportsPark. Each participant in the doubles golf croquet tournament played four games before seeding to finals in this fun and social tournament. Winners were: 1st Place – Rich Laging of Hilton and Sheila McLeod of Greece; 2nd Place – James Peasley and Beth Nash, both of Spencerport; 3rd Place – Bob Gannon of Lewiston and Suzanne Laging of Hilton.

The Rochester Croquet Club is also hosting the New York Senior Games for croquet on Saturday, June 25. To be eligible, one must be at least 50 years old before the end of the year. Registration is through the state office at nyseniorgames.com and closes on June 20.
