Summer Serenades returning to the Brockport Welcome Center on Thursdays

Join friends and neighbors at Brockport’s Welcome Center on the banks of the Erie Canal for eight weeks of free, family-friendly, live music every Thursday evening in July and August. July concerts start at 7 p.m. and in August when the sun sets earlier, they start at 6:30 p.m., all lasting about an hour and a half.

Two of the groups performing will be new to Brockport audiences. Mr Mustard is a well-known, high-energy Beatles tribute band that puts on a lively and entertaining show. Hannah PK is a bluesy, swinging vocalist who brings her keyboard alive with a range of styles from traditional rock and country to improvisational jazz. Other performers are returning favorites. Here is the complete 2022 lineup:

•July 7 Feedback

•July 14 Mr. Mustard

•July 21 Brockport Big Band

•July 28 Hanna PK

•August 4 Chris Wilson

•August 11 Don Newcomb

•August 18 The Geezers

•August 25 Rochester Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, located on Main and State streets, is again the indoor venue used in case of inclement weather. Serenades information is available on the Village of Brockport’s website, www.brockportny.org, or by calling 637-5300 ext. 110.

Patrons are reminded to bring their own chairs or a blanket for the grass. Picnicking is welcome though alcohol is not permitted. Dancing is encouraged. As a special treat, thanks to Brockport Wegmans, free ice cream cups will be distributed at the first and last events of the 2022 season.

These performances are made possible through the generosity of local community members. Serenades is funded solely by donations and grants, with in-kind support from the Village of Brockport. Contributions are tax deductable and should be sent to Village of Brockport/Summer Serenades, 127 Main Street, Brockport, NY 14420.
