OFC Creations presents Chicago

OFC Creations Theatre Center presents Chicago, an in-person production featuring professional actors. Performances will be held July 28 through 31.

In roaring twenties Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap … until he finds out he’s been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another “Merry Murderess,” Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the American dream: fame, fortune, and acquittal. This sharp-edged satire by John Kander and Fred Ebb features a dazzling score that sparked immortal staging by Bob Fosse, including hits: “All That Jazz,” “Razzle Dazzle,” “Funny Honey,” “Cell Block Tango,” and more.

This production features direction and choreography by Terri Filips Vaughan, a long-time collaborator with the musical’s writers. Terri has also choreographed all over the country, working with renowned artists, such as Marc Jacoby and Eddie Money. She is currently the Chair of Theatre and Fine Arts at Niagara University, where she continues to choreograph and coordinate the dance program.

Performances of Chicago are July 28, 29, and 30 at 7:30 p.m., with matinees on July 30 and 31 at 2 p.m. at the OFC Creations Theatre Center, 3450 Winton Place, Rochester. Tickets are $35 per guest and are available at OFCCreations.com/tickets or by calling 585-667-0954. VIP tickets are $50 and include prime seating and a complimentary glass of champagne.
