Ogden Town Board recognizes police officers for their lifesaving response during car crash

On Wednesday, June 22, members of the Ogden Town Board recognized officers from the Town of Ogden Police Department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office for their heroic and lifesaving response during the June 1 car crash in Sweden. Chief Christopher Mears was also presented with proclamations for his leadership and dedication to the town.

“There are no words to fully express our gratitude to local law enforcement for all they do to keep our communities safe and secure, but I hope they feel appreciated today and every day,” said Ogden Town Supervisor Mike Zale. “I’d like to thank Chief Mears, Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter, Assemblyman Josh Jensen, Senator Rob Ortt, Joe Robach and the families of the awardees for making this such a special and memorable evening.”
