Spencerport resident releases ninth novel

David B. Seaburn’s latest novel, Give Me Shelter, was released on December 15, 2022. There was a book celebration and reading at Writers and Books in Rochester to note the occasion.

The main characters are a grandfather and his two grandsons. This story is set in 1962 during the Cuban Missile Crisis, which is giving twelve-year-old Willie sleepless nights. His brother, Denny, has recently left for college. Everything is in flux. There is also a longstanding secret gnawing at the boys. Their parents died nine years earlier and they have never been told how.

Early reviews have been enthusiastic. “Give Me Shelter by David B. Seaburn is a beautiful story about human connection and condition… Seaburn’s character development was outstanding…Read his books!” “Seaburn again tells a story of human vulnerability, endurance, secrets, truth, loss, humor, resilience and love.”

Seaburn, a Spencerport resident, has written nine novels and has received numerous awards.
