Infamous Incidents program
rescheduled in Brockport

Learn about some of the largely unknown tidbits of local history from former Village of Brockport Historian and Director of the Emily L. Knapp Museum, Sue Savard, on Wednesday, February 15, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on Main Street in the village. The program, Infamous Incidents, begins at 7 p.m. and is anticipated to last approximately one hour.

Among the Infamous Incidents from the files of the Emily L. Knapp Museum to be discussed are local controversy relating to the Civil War, the Bank Swindle of 1866, a run on banks in 1893, the fire that consumed the Heinrich Hotel, Brockport’s street of ill repute, a 1949 murder, and Edgar Coapman, Sr., born in 1896 – one of Brockport’s most colorful characters.

All are invited to attend and learn about Brockport history. Some light refreshments will be offered following the presentation.

Admission is free, but donations to the Brockport Food Shelf are welcome.
