UPCOMING ROAD CLOSURE ALONG STATE ROUTE 260 IN TOWNS OF CLARKSON, SWEDEN
July 25, 2023 (Rochester, NY) – The New York State Department of Transportation is today advising motorists that State Route 260/Sweden Walker Road between State Route 31 and East Avenue in the towns of Clarkson and Sweden, Monroe County, will close to accommodate a culvert replacement project beginning 9 p.m. on Friday, July 28. The roadway is anticipated to reopen by 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 6. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour utilizing East Avenue, West Avenue, Redman Road, and State Route 31.
All construction activities are weather dependent. Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
