On behalf of the Friends of Drake Library, we would like to thank the Brockport community for supporting the recent Antique Appraisers Roadshow on Saturday, October 14. This event raised over $1,000 to benefit Drake Memorial Library programs and services at SUNY Brockport. This was the third time the Friends hosted this fundraiser, and the first time since the pandemic. We were grateful to see many friends from previous years and to have the opportunity to make new ones.
Attendees enjoyed talking about their treasures ranging from paintings to stamp collections, Civil War scrapbooks, furniture, decorative objects and more. The Friends of Drake Library especially appreciate the two on-site expert appraisers, Robert Meringolo (’73) and Robin Stelmach (’88), for contributing their time and expertise. And thank you to the volunteers who made the day run smoothly. See you next time!
