Thanksgiving food drive underway in Brockport

Brockport Community Connection (BCC), a newly founded nonprofit in the heart of Brockport, is collecting food donations for the upcoming Thanksgiving meal basket distribution. Committed to “bridging the gap between need and service,” the BCC is streamlining distribution to individuals and families in need within the Brockport School District who live south of Route 104. BCC expects to serve more than 200 households this holiday season. Identified needs include mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, applesauce, and canned fruit. Monetary donations are also welcome. Collection sites include:
•Dollar General
(50 North Main Street, Brockport)
•Brockport Village Hall
•Clarkson Town Hall
•Strong West
•Nativity BVM Church
•St. Lukes Episcopal Church
•Brockport First Baptist Church
•Sole Movement and Dance Studio
•Planet Fitness

Distribution will occur at SUNY Brockport and details will be available in early November. More information can be found on the organization’s Facebook page at “Brockport Community Connection.”
