Town of Ogden holds second annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony

On Friday, December 8, the Town of Ogden held its second annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Residents enjoyed hot chocolate provided by Union Street Coffee House and festive treats and baked goods donated by Tops Friendly Market, Tim Hortons and Wegmans. Christmas carols were sung throughout the evening by the Robert Dean Chorale and kids enjoyed a chance to see Santa as he made a special appearance as part of the Spencerport Fire Department’s annual Santa Runs.

“This year’s second annual Town of Ogden Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony was a tremendous success. It was wonderful to see such a spectacular turnout with so many local families coming together to enjoy the holiday season as a community,” said Ogden Town Supervisor Mike Zale.

“Thank you to all our partners in the town who helped make this year’s tree lighting event possible. I’m really looking forward to growing this special event in the future and making it a longstanding tradition in our community.”
