Soup-er Bowl Food Drive supports local food pantry

Churchville-Chili’s Fairbanks Road School helped members of the community during their Soup-er Bowl Food Drive.

Students brought in food donations throughout the week before the big game, using their donation to show their support for one of the teams playing in the Super Bowl. While dropping off their donation, students selected one of two boxes – representing the two competing teams. Students then wrote their name on a kindness heart and added it to the wall surrounding their team.

At the end of the week, donations were tallied from each box. At Fairbanks Road School, the 49ers came out on top with 463 items versus 201 for the Kansas City Chiefs. A total of 664 items were donated for the Churchville Lions Club Food Pantry.
