MWBE Awards to honor minority- and women-owned businesses

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce will present its inaugural Greater Rochester Chamber MWBE Awards, in partnership with Insero & Co. CPAs. The awards celebrate the achievements of the region’s fastest-growing minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs), highlighting their success through growth rankings based on revenue increases, considering both percent increase and actual dollar amount.

Minority- and women-owned businesses seeking recognition can apply annually through a straightforward application process. The top rankings and all qualified entries will be unveiled to the community before the awards celebration on May 16, 2024, at the Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center. This event will also recognize all MWBEs that have registered in the past year with Monroe County, opening new growth opportunities.

Organizations interested in applying or learning more about the award criteria can do so online at http://tinyurl.com/mr2vpaw2, with applications open through April 1, 2024. Financial information provided in applications will be kept confidential.

Monroe County Executive Adam Bello said, “In the spirit of fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion, Monroe County proudly supports the Greater Rochester Chamber MWBE Awards.
