Spectacular light show!

Those across the area who were out late on Friday, May 10, got to witness the Northern Lights thanks to a level G5 storm caused by explosions from a large sunspot. The auroras danced, lighting the sky in shades of purple, pink, and green. Many who witnessed the spectacle said it made up for our cloud-covered eclipse experience. The auroras were visible Sunday night as well, but not as brilliantly. This shot was captured Friday night by Greg Mytych from his home in Ogden.
