Celebration Moves Indoors
Not even a steady rain could dampen the spirits of Churchville Trick-or-Treaters at the annual Halloween event on October 31. Riga Recreation Supervisor Dave Childs acquired the Maher Lodge just in time, knowing it would keep attendees warm and dry. The Churchville Lions crew set up lights and ghouls around the walls for effect while the Churchville Lions, with Lion Verna Linney as the Fairy Godmother, posed with parents, children, and friends decked out in their costumes. 100 treat bags of sweets and apples were handed out.
Thanks go out to the Town of Riga Recreation, Churchville Lions Club, and the Churchville Fire Department, who hosted the event, as well as the many parents and treaters for offering their support.
