AREA

•Clifford, William D. “Dave,” of LeRoy, July 10, 2013 at age 79. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean; sons, William (Margaret) Clifford and John Clifford; grandchildren, Nicholas, Laura and Thomas Clifford; cousins, Sally Zimmer, Mary Jo (Jim) Stahl and Bill Donlon. Predeceased by cousin, Dick Donlon.

Funeral Services were held July 14 at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Honeoye Falls. Burial, North Bloomfield Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Genesee Country Village and Museum Harmonics, 1410 Flint Road, Mumford, NY 14511 in his memory.

 

ALBION

•DeVos, Sheila Marie, age 56 of Crimson Heights, died July 12, 2013 in the Martin Linsin Hospice Residence following a short illness. Sheila was born November 24, 1956 in Hilton and was a lifetime resident of this area. Mrs. DeVos worked as part of the Kitchen Staff and Union Representative at SUNY Brockport for many years. She is survived by her children: Lisa DeVos, Heather Drake, Shannon Graham, Amanda Drake, Angel Drake, Robert Drake, Brandon Drake; her brothers: Donald Tyo, Jose Lopez, Richard Bennett; her sisters: Michell Tyo, Francisca Lopez, Renee Bennett; her grandchildren: Ethan, Drevon, Damien, Lamiya, Olivia; several nieces, nephews, cousins and ‘adopted’ children at SUNY Brockport.

A Celebration of Sheila’s life was held July 17 at the Brockport Exempts Building. Interment at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to Hospice of Orleans in her memory.

 

BROCKPORT

•Boyce, Eunice W., age 73, died July 11, 2013 at Rochester General Hospital following a long illness. Eunice loved painting, hunting, cutting wood and running the farm stand with her husband. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, on June 13, 2013. She is survived by her children Ronnie Long of Georgia, Gloria Long of Georgia, Robert (JoAnn Meli) Cary Jr. of Albion, David (Tammie) Cary of Oklahoma; step-children, Richard Boyce of Brockport, Cindy VandeBogart of Florida, Tricia Hundley of Florida; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; daughter-in-law, Tammy Cary of Albion; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service was held July 20 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Albion. Burial in Mt. Albion Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Leukemia Society in her memory.

 

•Krieger, Gary H., on July 15, 2013 at 74. Predeceased by his parents, Martin and Anne Krieger, sisters, Marcia Movsky and Donna Finley. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sandy; brother, Larry (Stacy) Krieger; sister-in-law, Marcia (Chris Uhl) Lauzon; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great great niece, cousins and a community of friends. Gary was treasurer and past president of Congregation Etz Chaim, worked for Kodak for 29 years and H&R Block in his retirement.

Graveside Services were held July 17 in Britton Road Cemetery. Donations can be made to Congregation Etz Chaim or a charity of one’s choice in his memory.

 

CHILI

•Plummer, David R., July 9, 2013 at age 78. Predeceased by his wife, Arlene. Survived by his daughters, Suzanne Plummer and Elizabeth (Benjamin) Molina; two grandchildren, Rachel and Audrey Molina; and many loving friends.

A Memorial Service in celebration of David’s life will be held Sunday, July 21, 1 p.m. at Gates Presbyterian Church, 1049 Wegman Road, Rochester 14624. Donations can be made to the church or to Hildebrandt Hospice-Lifetime Care in his memory.

 

CHURCHVILLE

•Alexander, George H. Sr., July 11, 2013 at age 69. Survived by his wife Patricia Alexander; children, Tami, Jodi, Geordie (Kristie Riley); step-children, Renee, Rachelle and Ted Fleming; grandchildren, Joshua, Tiara, Michaela and Joey; sisters and brothers, Shirley (Dick) Murphy, Joyce Johnson, Bud (Maryann) Alexander, Larry Alexander; sister-in-law, Theresa Pengelly; several nieces and nephews; faithful companions, Gunther and Lexi.

His Graveside Service was held July 15 in Riga Cemetery.

 

HAMLIN

•Claycomb, Shirley A., Suddenly, July 14, 2013. Survived by her children, Deborah (John) Grasta, Richard (Karen Velasco), Douglas Claycomb and April (Kevin) Honan; four grandchildren, Angelina, Dorothy, Kevin Jr. and Brandon; father of her children, Richard Claycomb Sr.; two brothers, Dean (Patricia) and Gerald Gardner.

Services were held July 19 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton.

 

HILTON

•Hurlbutt, Elizabeth W., July 13, 2013, age 97. Predeceased by her husband, Merton C. Hurlbutt. Survived by her children, Douglas (Carolyn) Hurlbutt and Charles (Virginia) Hurlbutt; grandchildren, David (Susan), Phil (Diane) and Matt (Kris) Hurlbutt, Kelly (Eric) Guest, Kimberly (Scott) Neu; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild on the way; also predeceased by her brother Kenneth Wright; her former daughter-in-law, Sandra Johnson.

Services were held July 17 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Hilton. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Smith-Dunbar Cemetery Restoration Fund in her memory.

 

•Stadnyk, JoAnne, On July 15, 2013. She is survived by her husband, John; her children, Tina Giorgione, Anthony Stadnyk, Christine (Chris) Hahn and Adam Stadnyk; grandchildren, Michael, KC, Michelle, Jacob, Matthew, CJ, Jordan, Kylee and Kaston; her sisters, Janet and Dianne and brothers, Gary, Mike, Timothy, Daniel, Patrick and Kenny.

Services were held July 18 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton.

 

•Webster, Raymond B., June 29, 2013, age 87. Predeceased by wife of 59 years, Elizabeth “Betty” House Webster. Survived by a daughter, Diane (Marvin) Gard; a son, Dale (Mary) Webster; grandchildren, Jacqueline (Petie) Ronstadt, Carrie Carr, Grace, Graham and Garrett Webster; two step-grandchildren, Kelly and Sarah Gard; a sister, Beatrice Masters; sisters-in-law, Vivian Schultz, Arlene Quetschenbach, Judy (Ron) Lockwood, Pat House, Ida Webster; brother-in-law, Charles Maier; several nieces and nephews. Ray was a lifetime resident of Parma, and a member of Parma Baptist Church. He retired from the Town of Parma Highway Department after a career in the construction industry.

Funeral Services were held July 6 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Hilton. Interment Parma Corners Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Parma Baptist Community Church Memorial Fund or Beikirch Care Center in his memory.

 

HOLLEY

•Cook, Leonard Francis, Sr., Suddenly on July 12, 2013 at age 68. Predeceased by his parents William and Mildred, brothers Kenneth and Alan. Sadly missed by his wife Lorraine (Rothenburgh) Cook; daughter Elaine Iriais of Texas; son Leonard Francis Cook, Jr. of Pennsylvania; step-daughters Annette and Shelley; step-son Stephen; brother Ronnie Cook; sisters Louella Griffin, Beverly Wilson, Dorothy Cook, Shirley Simpson, Marlene Murphy and Jackie Diles; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

His Memorial Service was held July 17 at Genesee Park Boulevard, S.D.A. Church. Donations can be made to Heartcry Missionary Society, P.O. Box 3506, Radford, Virginia 24143 in his memory.

 

NORTH CHILI

•McDanel, Raymond C., July 12, 2013. Predeceased by his wife, Andrea McDanel in 1980. Survived by his wife, Pauline “Ann” McDanel; sons, Douglas (Jacqueline) and Bruce (Kathey) McDanel; step-children, Marc Sipes, Kent (Susan) Sipes, DeLynn (Johnny) Young, Dirk (Barbara) Sipes; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Ray was a biology teacher at Brockport High School for nearly thirty years.

His Funeral Service was celebrated July 17 at Pearce Memorial Methodist Church, North Chili. Interment in North Chili Rural Cemetery at the family’s convenience. SPENCERPORT

•Becker, Cecelia R., age 96, December 20, 2012. She was the daughter of Michael P. and Regina Seelman Kamb. Predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Clement J. Becker. Survived by her children, Robert L. (Barbara) Becker and Barbara (Donald) Rumpf; brothers and sisters-in-law, Helen Kraft, George Becker, and Donald (Marion) Becker; four grandchildren, Frank Becker, Tracy (Raj) Becker-Houston, Adam (Rachel) Rumpf and Stephanie (Ron Barber) Rumpf; great-granddaughter, Isabel Rumpf. Cecelia was a smiling face at the Greece Olympia High School library where she worked as the secretary, retiring in 1975. In 1977, she and her husband realized their lifelong dream of retiring to Florida, where they lived together for 31 years.

A Memorial Mass was held July 20 at Holy Cross Church, Rochester.

 

•Lebeck, Ethel M. (Slowe), July 14, 2013 at age 90. Predeceased by her loving husband, Loren. She leaves her children, Patricia A. (Michael) Buckner, Stephen M. (Donna) Lebeck; grandchildren, Michael (Desiree) Buckner, Kristine (Michael Kelley) Buckner; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marie Castle; several nieces and nephews.

•McKinney, Helen C., On July 14, 2013. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Leo McKinney; parents Walter and Julia Mattison; brothers Walter and Robert Mattison and sister Julia Fowler. She is survived by her children, Susan, Sandra (James) Heagerty, Sharon (Bernard) Stein, Leo Jr. (fiancé Joan), Jane (Roger) Schworm, Julie (Peter) Call and Mary (William) Bennett; 12 grandchildren, Kevin (Amanda) and Sean (Brittany) Heagerty, Michael and Daniel (Kyle) Stein, Casey Call, Kelly, Gregory and Steven Schworm, Caroline, Emma, Isabelle and Joshua Bennett; great-grandchildren Collin and Lukas Heagerty.

Her Funeral Mass was held July 18 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Private burial in St. John’s Cemetery. Please consider performing a random act of kindness in her memory.

 

•Miles, Patricia G. (Pershing), July 11, 2013. Survived by her husband, Marvin O. Miles; sons, Jeffrey (Carla Milonni) and Christopher (Michelle Hoch) Miles; sister, Kathleen (Thomas) Habel; grandchildren, Cody and Autumn Miles; sister-in-law, Judy Van Gemert; brother-in-law, Nelson (Gail) Miles; several nieces and nephews.

•Smith, June, W., July 13, 2013, at age 75. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 25 years, Dale; sons, Thomas and Bernard (Sandra) Lefever; daughter, Kandee Curl; brother, Eugene (Dora) Wilkenson.
