AREA

•Arva, Ron R., of Gates, died August 25, 2013. Predeceased by his father, Ronald W.;  nephew, Eric Wall. Ron is survived by his fiancé, Leasah Smith; children, Chad (Teeah Pound) Arva, Rachel (Dan Tommaselli) Arva; grandchildren, Lilli, Cohen and Kyleigh; mother, Margaret (Earle) Foster; brothers, Mike (Jan) Arva and James H. (Katrina) Arva; sister, Margie Wall; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated August 30 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment, private. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049 in his memory.

BROCKPORT

•Rigg, Lilian, on August 7, 2013 at age 79 after a long illness. Widow of Maurice; mother of Stuart, Gavin (Rebecca Gilbert) and Suzanne (Edward Oberempt) and grandmother of Julian and Malcolm Gilbert-Rigg. Lilian was a native of Doncaster, Yorkshire, England, a naturalized American citizen and a successful realtor.
A Memorial Celebration of Lilian and Maurice will be held on Sunday, September 8, from 2-4 at the Sweden Senior Center, 133 State Street, Brockport. Interment: Garland Cemetery. CHILI

•Cassese, Katherine, Age 54, died August 23, 2013. Born May 5, 1959. Daughter of the late Peter and Eleonora Joseph. She is survived by her son, Chris Cassese; two daughters, Alexis Bianchi and husband, Mike, and Marlena Cassese; brother, Jim; three grandchildren, Joey, Landon, and Ava; and special friends, Richard, Tammy, and Dawn.
Her Funeral Service was held August 27 at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, Rochester. Interment, Grove Place Cemetery.



CHURCHVILLE


•Robinson, Helen M., August 25, 2013 at age 93. Predeceased by her husband, Carl A. Robinson; son, Carl J. Robinson; grandson, Richard Robinson; great-grandson, Brodi Robinson. Helen is survived by her children, John (Shirley), Robert (Barbara), Ralph (Barb), Melvin (Cynthia) and James (Laurie) Robinson; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 
Her Funeral Service was held August 29 at Walker Brothers Funeral Home, Inc., Churchville. Private interment in St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Bergen. Donations can be made to Home Care and Hospice, 550 East Main Street, Batavia, NY in her memory.



•Wall, Gerald L., August 21, 2013. Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Rowena Wall; his first wife, Connie Kroh Wall; sister, Betty Williams; and grandson, Eric Wall. Survived by his wife Missy Mertz Wall; three children, Tracy, Kraig (Sandy), Brad Wall; five step-children, John (Heidi) Mertz, Carol (Jeff) Blood, Steven (Susie) Mertz, Sandra McCabe and John Gebhardt and Paul (Elizabeth) Mertz; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Gerald was an Army Veteran of WWII and owner of Wall Plumbing and Wallco Construction in Churchville.
His Funeral Mass was said August 26 at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Churchville. Interment, Creekside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620 in his memory.

HOLLEY


•Moore, Helen Sime, August 26, 2013 in Webster at 101 years. Predeceased by her husband, John C. Moore; parents, Arthur and Mae Sime; brother, George W. Sime of Brockport. Survived by her daughter, Patricia Sabin of Webster; son, Jack (Darlene) Moore of Rochester; grandsons, Fred (Shannon) and Rob (Sheryl) Sabin, Scott and Jason (Jennifer) Moore; granddaughter, Beth Moore (Jason) Rhodes; six great-grandchildren; two nephews and a niece.
A Memorial Service was held August 31 at Presbyterian Church of Holley. Interment, Mt. Albion Cemetery, Albion. Contributions can be made to the Church; P.O. Box 282, Holley, NY 14470 in her memory.



NORTH CHILI

•Kaiser, Erna, died August 23, 2013 at age 99. Predeceased by her husband, Rudolph. Erna is survived by her sisters, Hilda (Paul) and Gerda Schmidt; brother, Hebert Freitag; many nieces and nephews.

OGDEN

•Nau, Patricia F. (Brownlee) (Martindale), August 24, 2013, at age 63. Predeceased by beloved husband, Richard J. Nau. Survived by children, Craig (Jennifer), Cory Martindale, Julie Karpenko and Jennifer (Craig) McCaffrey; grandchildren, Alexis and Hannah Karpenko, Cory Martindale and Cashel McCaffrey; siblings, James (Barbara) Brownlee and Jean (Paul) McEntee; brothers-in-law, Robert (Anne), Ronald (Diane), Terry (Bonnie) and Larry (Kelly) Nau; sisters-in-law, Susan (Pedro) DiGioia and Barbara (Alan) Mason; cousins; two step-children; five step-grandchildren.

SPENCERPORT

•Buchel, John J., Peacefully on August 17, 2013. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna. Predeceased by daughter, Lisa LaJuett. Also survived by daughters, Laura (Lawrence) Baum, Theresa (William) Zwerger and son, Joseph (Amy) Buchel; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated August 24 at Saint John The Evangelist Church, Spencerport.

•Willis, Gerard I. “Jerry”, formerly of Batavia. Died peacefully August 21, 2013. Predeceased by his wife, Providence “Prudy” Varco Willis. Survived by his daughters, Jeanine Vendetta of Rochester, Lisa (John) Sprague of Spencerport and Christa (Doug) Palmer of Batavia; son, Steven Willis of Rochester; son-in-law, David Vendetta of Rochester; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service was held August 25 at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home, Batavia. Interment, Bath National Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in his memory.
