BERGEN

•Ratajczak, Stanley, Jr., Age 88, October 6, 2013, in Rochester. Father of Cynthia (Lawrence) Reynolds of Bergen and Patricia (Michael) Kohlhagen of South Salem. Brother of Alice Auriemma of Amsterdam. Grandfather of Michael (Bernadette) Olander of Gates, Susan (Mark) Barber, Pete (Deana) Olander, Robert (Carrie) Reynolds, all of Bergen, and Elyssa and Alex Kohlhagen of South Salem, and the late Sandra Olander. Also survived by nine great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
His Mass of Christian Burial was said October 8 at St. Brigid’s Church, Bergen. Contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66657 in his memory.

BROCKPORT

•Burch, Robert C., “Uncle Bob,” After a short bout with cancer, died, October 4, 2013 at age 59. Predeceased by his parents, George and Harriet Burch. Survived by his children, Traci (Jordan Bopp) Burch and Cindy Burch; grandson, Kenny Melvin; sister, Barbara (Jeffrey) Pratt; brothers, George (Margaret), Edward (Kim), Clifford (Margie) and Albert; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob was a lifetime employee of the Clarkson Highway Garage.
A Celebration of his Life was held October 11 at the Brockport Firemen’s Exempt Club. Donations can be made to the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Lifetime Care Hospice in his memory.

•Hasbrouck, Jane A. (Hawes), On October 5, 2013, at the age of 101. Predeceased by her husband Raymond. She is survived by her special friends, Sharon (Albert) Henry and Linda (Stephen) Shelley; nephews, Tom and Phillip Fogarty; nieces, Jeanne Huntley and Ann Grafton; many other family and dear friends.
Her Funeral Service was held October 8 at Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Interment, Lakeview Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Lakeside Beikrich Care Center in her memory.

•Marks, Jean W., October 4, 2013, age 92. Predeceased by her husband Everett, 2000. She is survived by her children, Peter Marks, Frederick (Nancy) Marks, and Ann (Leon) Holberton; grandchildren, Justin and Jessica Holberton; nieces and nephews including, David (Mary Ann) Knapp; great-nephew, Scott (Terry) Knapp and their children, Jacob, Josh and Ryan; great-niece, Dana (Mark) Zink and their son, Thomas; sisters-in-law, Velma Speer, Dolly Marks, and Marlene (John) Mayer. Jean was a graduate of Rochester General School of Nursing, served as First Lt. 103 EVAC Unit in Europe during WW II and was a longtime nurse at Lakeside Memorial Hospital.
Her Funeral Service was held October 10 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton followed by a Military Graveside Service at Lakeview Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Nina Morris Nursing Education Fund in her memory.

•Zastrow, Leon T., On October 2, 2013 at age 93. Predeceased by his brother Gerald Zastrow, sister Lorna Staub and nephew Gary Zastrow. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Esther; children Donna (Arby) Frost, Gail (Cas) Dubicki, Robert (Amy) Zastrow; grandchildren Jay, Brooke (Julio), Brittany, Andrew, Allison, Brandon, Ryan and Alexa (Connor); one great-grandchild on the way and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held October 12 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Brockport. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to St. Luke’s Church in his memory.

•Hull, Joan, October 4, 2013. Predeceased by her husband of 51 years, George N. Hull, infant daughter, Cheryl, father, Ronald Sweet, mother and step-father, Delia and Henry Arva, and George’s parents, George and Helen Hull, brothers, Stanley and Bill and sisters, Donna and Alice. Survived by her sons: Ronald (Mary) Hull, Daniel (Anne) Hull, Steven (Barbara) Hull, Douglas (Heidi) Hull; grandchildren, Timothy (Tyler Cassidy-Heacock) Hull, Emily Hull Nicholson, Katie (Nicholas) Coffee, Amanda (Cole Heinrich) Hull, David (Sarah) Hull, Nicole Hull, Gaelan Hull, Matthew Hull; great grandchildren, Duncan and Connor Nicholson, Benjamin Coffee, Colin Hull; siblings, Jean (Loren) Smith, Bernard “Butch” Sweet, Ellen (Ken) LaMont, Susanne (Steven) Dunsford, Bruce Arva; sister-in-law, Nancy Jennings; many nieces and nephews; dear friends and neighbors, some life-long and some new. Joan volunteered at Gerber Hospital and All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont, Michigan and Spencerport Volunteer Ambulance.
Her Funeral Service was held October 11 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment, St. John’s Cemetery. Donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities, 333 Westmoreland Drive, Rochester, NY 14620 in her memory.

•Hansmann, Arthur L., October 6, 2013. Predeceased by his parents, Walter and Margaret Hansmann; son, Todd; granddaughter, Victoria; sisters, Dallas Deutsch and Glenda Buss; brothers, Delbert and Waldo. Survived by his wife, Donna; children, William (Jacqueline) Hansmann, Melanie (Wayne) Conradt, Gina (Steve) Cinotti; grandchildren, Alex, Eric and Heather Hansmann, Derek, Timothy and Darbi Conradt, Ashley, Alicia and Mason Cinotti; great-granddaughter, Hayley Lushington; sister, Genevieve Haviland; sister-in-law, Jaye Draper; brothers-in-law, John Buss, Mark (Kathleen) Draper, Robert (Katherine) Deutsch; aunt, uncle and many nieces and nephews. •Moore, Ronald A., Thursday, October 3, 2013 at age 73. He was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Jessie Moore; brother, Clifford “Kip” Moore. Survived by his wife, Lorraine; children, Gary (Marcia Weber), Steven (Carol Thomas), David (Lori), Daniel (Lesha), Lynn (Ron Schultz) Ivison; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters; brothers; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends too many to list. Retired from Rochester Products after 32 years.
At Ron’s request there will be no Funeral Services.

•Swan, Scott D. “Smoothie,” October 7, 2013, age 60. Predeceased by his parents, Donald and Helen Swan; sister, Theresa Walravens. Survived by children, Jennifer Cavallaro (Garret Breister), Jeffrey (Randi) Swan; siblings, Susan (John) Swan-Nicholl, Todd (Kim) Swan, Chris (Mike) Johnson; grandchildren, Taylor and Cameron Cavallaro; nieces, Kayla Swan; former wife and mother of his children, Bonnie Swan.

•Foster, Michael Francis, October 3, 2013 at age 68 after a short battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Rose Marie Foster. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Iris; daughter, Michelle (Martin) Troup and their children, Emily, Nicholas, Stephen (Teresa) and their son, Chase, Kevin (Casey) and their son, Brayden, son, Jeffrey (Lisa) and their children, Katherine, Claire, Aideen, Meghann, son, Jon (Wendi) and their sons, Bailey and Clayton; sister, Mary (Leigh) Smith and their children, Ryan (Molly) and their daughter, Sydney, Taylor (Jessica); brother, Brian and his partner, Kenny and many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated October 7 at St. Mary’s Church, Holley. Private Interment. Contributions can be directed to the Golisano Children’s Hospital, Camp Good Days and Special Times or the Wilmot Cancer Center in his memory.

OGDEN

•Wolff, Charles “Chuck,” October 7, 2013, age 71. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Terry; children, Chuck (Bonnie), Ed (Janet), Sherree (Johnny) Wolff, Debis Uttaro; one grandson, seven granddaughters, 13 great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister. Chuck was a United States Army Veteran.

SPENCERPORT

•Burlingham, Joyce T., October 6, 2013 at age 76. Predeceased by her sisters, Joanne Smith and Judy Anderson. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard J. Burlingham; daughters, Lynn and Lori Burlingham; grandson, Dale VanVorst; brother, Richard Thompson; several nieces and nephews.
Joyce’s celebration of life was held October 11 at the John Knox Presbyterian Church, Greece. Interment private. Donations can be made to the John Knox Building Fund in her memory.

•Olszynski, Roman, October 6, 2013. Survived by his wife, Wanda B. Olszynski; children, Joanna (Bogdan Kelk) Olszynska, Beata (Frank) Olszynska-Santonastaso, Richard (Pernilla) Olszynski; nine grandchildren.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated October 9 at St. Stanislaus Church, Hudson Ave., Rochester. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

•Thomas, Nelson James, October 5, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl L., of 49 years; three children, Troy, Todd (Chrissy), Rhonda; five grandchildren, Troy, Zachary, Hilorie, Alexander, Elijah; brother, LaMont; several nieces and nephews.
