•Donaher, Shirley Frances Arnold, age 85, died January 17, 2014 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Shirley was a long-time resident of Brockport. She moved to Waxhaw, North Carolina in 2003. A 1946 graduate of Brockport High School, she married the late George Thomas Donaher in 1952. Shirley had three children, the late William Donaher and is survived by Kathryn Donaher McKee, of Waxhaw, North Carolina (Kenneth McKee); Robert Donaher of Charlotte, North Carolina (Teena Lester Donaher). Her grandchildren include Jason Rice, of Land O Lakes, Florida, (Meagan Pearson-Rice), Lindsay Rice, Sarah Donaher, Ethan Donaher of Charlotte. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She spent countless hours giving her time to Presbyterian Hospital, Matthews, North Carolina, Lakeside Memorial Hospital, The Morgan-Manning House, Literacy Volunteers of America, Rochester, Cystic Fibrosis, Rochester and Catholic Daughters Nativity, Brockport.
A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, May 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Morgan-Manning House, 151 Main Street, Brockport. Donations can be made to The Morgan-Manning House in her memory.
