•DeLaura, Ronald (Ron), of Greenville, South Carolina, died August 5, 2014. Ron is survived by his loving family: daughters, Kathy DeLaura (Ron Steinhoff), Barb DeLaura, Marybeth Launius (Brian); son, Ron DeLaura (Laurie); grandchildren: Scott Greve (Jessica), Joshua DeLaura (Maddie), Michael March, Erin Marshall (Andy), Brian Launius (Beth); six great grandchildren. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Carmella. Ron was born on October 15, 1918, and raised in Holley. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Ron received basketball and baseball scholarships to Clarkson Institute of Technology in Potsdam, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. After a long career at Western Electric, he enjoyed his retirement years in Ellenton, Florida with his second wife, Dorothy.
A Private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
