•Smith, Thomas C., age 68, died August 31, 2014 in Orchard Manor Nursing Home following a long illness. He was born May 24, 1946 in Medina to Elmo and Marjorie (Darker) Smith and was a life-long resident of this area. Predeceased by his brother Robert Smith. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Christine; his four sons, Brian (Danielle) Smith of Medina, Marc (Ruth) Smith of Bloomfield, Matt (Christine Hermann) Smith of Medina, David Smith of Corning; his sister, Betty (Richard) Drilling of Oregon; a sister-in-law, Christine (late Robert) Smith of Medina; 16 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Smith was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam War, a member of Holy Family Parish, the Sheret Post American Legion and the Albion Sportsmen’s Club.
His Mass of Christina Burial was said September 6 in Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery with Military Honors. Donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 in his memory.
