Charlotte A. Miller

•Miller, Charlotte A., Albion, age 71, died 4/1/2015 in her home following a long illness.  She was born 4/27/1943 in Shamokin, PA to Charles and Hazel (Ross) Persing and had lived in this area since 2004.

Charlotte graduated from Williamsport, PA High School and then attended Jefferson County Community College.  She and her husband worked Stock and Dairy Farms in PA and NY prior to her obtaining her LPN License in 1981.  Mrs. Miller worked as an LPN at several Health Care Facilities including the Jefferson County Home and the NYS Veterans Home in Batavia.  Charlotte was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as a Past Worthy High Priestess of the Micah Shrine.  She enjoyed crocheting, reading Harlequin Romance Novels, gardening, baking pies, was a fantastic cook and an avid canner of anything.

Mrs. Miller was predeceased by a brother Byron Persing.  She is survived by her husband of 53 years David, her sons: David Wade(Elba)Miller of FL, Charles James(Carrie)Miller of NC, Kimberly Ann(Richard)Misch of Watertown, Catherine Louise(Grant)Whitmore of Alexander, Rebecca Marie Jaroseck of Medina, 3 brothers: Keith Persing of PA, Robert Persing of NC, Walter Persing of NC, 2 sisters: Peggy Shanan of FL, Susan Thomson of PA, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours.  Services will be held privately and a private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Millville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Orleans or Roswell Park Cancer Institute.  Arrangements were made by Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. of Albion.
