Richard A. Mattle

•Mattle, Richard A. “Dick”, Hamlin: Peacefully ended 92 years of a rich and fulfilling life on April 2, 2015, surrounded by his family. Dick was born on June 13, 1922, to Edmund and Helen Mattle in Rochester, NY. He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Viola E. (Cleveland); five children: Richard (Rosa) Mattle, James (Denice) Mattle, Jean (Stephen) Hitner, Thomas (Tammy) Mattle, Virginia (Kevin) Truelson; nine grandchildren: Dan (Bonnie) Mattle, Pat (Rose) Mattle, Sandy & Sam Mattle, Amy (Kevin) Moore, Marty Orefice, Melinda (Nathan) Haggerton, and Jena & Carly Truelson; and eleven (soon to be twelve) great-grandchildren. Also survived by one brother-in-law, Thomas Hamill; and several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Retiree of Eastman Kodak Company as an Electrical Engineer with 37 years of service. Alumni of Aquinas Institute and RIT, and an Army Air Force Veteran of WWII.

Dick’s family will receive relatives and friends Monday, April 6th from 4-8 PM at Arndt Funeral Home, 1118 Long Pond Rd. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, April 7th at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Hamlin, NY. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a contribution to Hospice of Rochester Lifetime Care or the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
