Robert Duane Cooper

•Cooper, Robert Duane, Kent: Robert Duane Cooper age 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully at his home July 17, 2015. He was born December 3, 1936 in Huntingdon PA. a son of the late John and Floris (Smith) Cooper. When Duane was 18 he moved to Albion and obtained a job at T.J. Lipton. On March 30, 1957 Duane married the love of his life, Jane. He then went to work at Rochester Products for 35 years, retiring in 1997. Duane was a long time member of the Albion Free Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School for 30 years. He was always eager to learn and at the age of 51, earned his Associates Degree in Human Services and had also taught himself Greek so he could better understand the Bible. Duane enjoyed hunting, woodworking, auto repair, oil painting and was a railroad enthusiast. He loved running a chainsaw, gardening, baking, and was always willing to share his baked goods.

He was predeceased by his sister, Gail Otto; brother, Dale Cooper.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jane; children, Don (Bonnie) Cooper, Ed (Darlene) Cooper, Pam (Matt) Reamer; grandchildren, Aaron (Jessie), Jeremy (Kariny), favorite granddaughter, Aaricka Reamer, Shane “Body Guard”, Ben (Amanda)and Bob Cooper; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Levi, Mackenzie; brothers, Sam, John (Diane), Jeff (Darlene); sisters, Kay (Ed) Johnston, Jean (Gene) Snyder, Barb (Bob) Dysard; many nieces, nephews, cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Albion Free Methodist Church, 25 S. Platt St. Friday, July 24, from 5:00-8:00, where his Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 25, at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Albion Free Methodist Church, 25 S. Platt St. Albion NY 14411 or the Carlton Fire Dept. 14341 Waterport-Carlton Rd. Albion NY 14411. Duane’s family is in the care of Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. Albion, NY.
