Sebastian, FL/Churchville: June 6, 2016, Anita died peacefully at The Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida, at the age of 83. She was born in Bethlehem, PA on October 19, 1932. She moved to Churchville, NY in 1946 with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Paul Buss, and her brother David. She graduated from Churchville High School in 1950. Anita worked at Fairbanks Road Elementary School as the school secretary for 27 years. She attended St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church. Anita and her husband Verner had a summer home in the Thousand Islands before retiring to Sebastian, Florida in 1992.
Anita is survived by her husband of 64 years, Verner Bruton; her children, John (Mary), Dawn (Bruce) and Kevin (Debbie); 4 grandsons; brother, David Buss. To light a candle of remembrance, visit www.alifecelebrated.com
Anita’s visitation will be on Tuesday from 6-8:30 pm at Walker Brothers Funeral Home, 21 S. Main St., Churchville. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 11 N. Main St., Churchville. Interment in St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Churchville American Legion or Churchville Fire Department in Anita’s memory.
