Marion T. Gifaldi

Holley: Age 88, died August 8, 2016 at Shepherd Home, Penfield, NY. She was born November 12, 1927 in Albion, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Kappela) Jablonski. Marion enjoyed crocheting, making greeting cards and other crafts, cooking delicious meals, canning tomatoes, spending time with family and friends, and visiting the casino.

She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Francis (Frank); siblings, Gertrude Francis, Frank Jablonski, Celia Sledzinski, Isabelle Marcinowski, Art Jablonski, Eleanor Albanese, and Edward Jablonski; daughter-in-law; Kathleen Gifaldi.

She is survived by her children Francis (Carol Irwin) Gifaldi, Stephen (Kim) Gifaldi, Richard (Roxane) Gifaldi, Laurie (Terry) Baker, Sue Gifaldi; grandchildren Richard (Maggie) Gifaldi, Mary (James Chow) Gifaldi, Christopher Baker, Michael Gifaldi, Elizabeth (Kris Prieto) Gifaldi, Shannon (Michelle) Circe, Steven (Joy) Baker, and Francis (Crystal Mott) Gifaldi; great-grandchildren: Josiah, Elee, Luna, and Pace Gifaldi, Aaron Chow, Blake, Terry, and Julian Circe; Brielle and Olivia Baker; sister in laws; Teresa Carselli, Helen Jablonski, and Rose Gifaldi; several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 Route 31, Holley, Friday August 12, from 4:00-7:00pm. Marion’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church, 106 South Main St. Albion, Saturday August 13th at 10:00am, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Holley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shepherd Home, 1959 Five Mile Line Road, Penfield, NY 14526.

Special acknowledgements and thank you to the medical professionals and volunteers that assisted in her care for the last several weeks; especially Dr. Nilsa Martinez, the Emergency Room and 7th floor staff of Highland Hospital, and the staff/volunteers of the Shepherd Home in Penfield.
