Gates – Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at age 80, peacefully surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his daughter, Deborah and sister, Mary Anne Podgers. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Helen; children, Robin Skinner, Robert (Lisa) and Missie Encina (Bill Belsher); grandchildren, Emilio, Matthew, Joseph, Alison and Gavin; several nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Roger was a retiree of Kodak and Past President of NYS West Soccer Association. He loved the New York Yankees and SU Basketball.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Unity Hospital (ICU) for their wonderful care and compassion.
A Celebration of Roger’s Life will be held Saturday 10-12. Funeral Service to follow 12Noon at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or your local animal rescue.
