Grace Andreano died peacefully, at the home of her oldest daughter Liz (Grace) Morrell and son in law Eugene Morrell, in Manzanita, Oregon, on January 3, 2021. Grace had recently relocated to Oregon, after living most of her life in upstate New York. Grace was born on May 8, 1922, to Guistina and Vincent Daddazio, in Rochester, New York. She met her husband, Joseph Andreano, who also grew up in Rochester, and they were married in August of 1944, when Joseph was on a ten day furlough from the US Army, where he served until the end of WWII. After raising their two daughters, Liz and Vinessa, Grace and Joe moved to Clarendon, NY, where they spent their next fifty-one years together. After the death of her husband, Joseph, in May of 2020, Grace made the brave move West to complete her full life spending time with her family in Oregon.
In addition to her two daughters, Grace leaves her youngest sister Libby Carretta and husband, Anthony Carretta and her first cousin Clementine Barclay of Rochester NY. She leaves a number of nieces and nephews, residing in Rochester, Florida, Nevada, California, and the Midwest. She also leaves her grandson, Jed Morrell and wife Allison, and great grandaughter, Olivia of Corvallis, Oregon, and her granddaughter, Liz Dance and husband Aaron, and great grandson, Emmett of Portland, Oregon. Grace’s youngest daughter, Vinessa, currently lives in Bellingham, WA. She also leaves behind three friends and caregivers who helped her through the painful loss of her husband Joseph; Angie Nobles, Della Fisher and Mary Spence.
Grace was a kind and loving Spirit who deeply touched all the lives of those she knew. She was a devoted wife and mother who always put others before herself, in everything she did. She was supportive to everyone she knew, and a wonderfully creative homemaker. She loved to cook and sew, and made some lovely ceramics that decorated her home, and the homes of her friends and family. She put her heart and soul into everything she did. Grace was and is a true gem both inside and out. Her loving strength and loyalty, kept both her family of origin, and the family she created with her husband Joseph, going during the challenging Depression and World War II years. Grace was the first born of five children.
She is preceded, in death, by her sisters Jessie D’Amico and Angie Dentino, and her brother, Vincent Daddazio, all of Rochester, NY.
Grace will be deeply missed and live on in our hearts forever. May her spirit be free forever and surrounded in peace and everlasting love.
