Hamlin – May 21, 2021 at home, age 86. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol Keady McFarlane; children, Jeanne Brightly, Douglas (Catherine), Stuart (Laura) & Robert; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Catherine “Kit” Pollicove, Peggy Rickman and Margaret Corbin. Predeceased by siblings, John, Ellen & Patrick; and granddaughter, Leah McFarlane.
Art was a machine builder by trade and an inventor at heart. Upon “retirement” from GM, he owned and operated Hamlin Sawmill, utilizing equipment he built and technology he devised.
Family and friends will be received at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue in Hilton on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 4-7 PM. Please follow CDC guidelines.
