Chili – On January 2, 2022, Heaven gained another director for the choir of angels. Gary was born July 18, 1939 in Warsaw to G. Eloise and G. Ralph Buckland. His passions throughout his life were farming, faith, singing and most importantly family. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Kay Buckland; daughters, Michelle Lerner, Amy Eisenhauer and Margy (Jeff) Paul; son, Matthew (Vinessa); 7 grandchildren, Joseph, Erin (Glenn), Jaime, Colleen, Jessica, Jennifer (Mike) and Lindsay; 3 great-grandchildren and 2 more expected in 2022; sister, Gail; and several cousins. Gary will be remembered for his bright blue eyes and beautiful smile! Gary and Mary Kay were founding members of St. Christopher’s Parish and are grateful for the many people and blessings their faith journey has given. With gratitude and appreciation, the family extends a thank you to the staff of Unity Hospital 4400 for their compassionate care.
The family chooses to have a private celebration of his life. Those wishing may make a donation in Gary’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of one’s choice.
