Marilyn Y. Reff

Chili – Marilyn Yvonne Reff (Beckman) passed away peacefully at home on December 25th, 2021 at the age of 83. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Reff. Marilyn is survived by her children, Mitchell (Maggie) Reff, Michael (Diane) Reff, Martin Reff; and siblings, Ginny VanOrden, Betsy Beckman, Mark (Pam) Beckman. In addition to her children, she is survived by her grandchildren, Lindsay (Domenic) Valentino, Gillian (Alex) Reff, Andrew (Vanessa) Reff, Danielle (Tom) Sedor, Samantha (Steve) Chalker, Haley(Nick) Griffith, Rachel (Cal) Reff, Alyssa Hamra; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania to Arthur and Helen Beckman. After WWII her family relocated to Carthage, New York where Marilyn graduated from Carthage High School. She went on to pursue an early career with Pan Am Airlines, but found her true joy in raising her children. Marilyn married her childhood sweetheart Richard, and they relocated to Rochester when he secured a position with Eastman Kodak. Marilyn had a variety of interests, and hobbies that included antiquing, garage saling, baking her famous cookie trays, knitting Christmas stockings, and so much more. Above all she was a caregiver, a nurturer, and in later years found she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. They were the shining light in her life.
