Thomas M. Tongue Sr., 83, a US Navy Veteran, passed away suddenly and peacefully on August 16, 2023.
Born in Rochester, NY and raised in Spencerport, NY. Longtime Lockport resident. An avid fisherman. Member of the First Congregational Church of Lockport UCC.
Preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Frances (nee MacBlane) Tongue; his loving sons, Thomas “Tyke” Jr. and infant Todd Bryan; many dear aunts and uncles.
Survived by his longtime companion and close friend, Linda; loving children, Jeff (Elizabeth) and Kathy (Matthew); grandchildren, Andre, Ashley, Emily, Cayla and Nathan and six great-grandchildren; siblings, Patricia (Bruce) Thomas of Spencerport, NY, Marilyn (William) Houck of Brockport, NY and Ronald (DeeDee) Tongue of Canton, GA ; daughter-in-law, Connie; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Disabled American Veterans or the Wounded Warrior Project appreciated.
