Died March 31, 2024 at age 88.
She was predeceased by her parents, Laura and George Mellor; son, Norman S. Mowers. She is survived by her children, Laura (Richard) Schmitt, Susan (Robert) Geiger, Michael (Ann) Mellor; grandchildren, Michael Burke, Sarah (Ed) Baranoski, Danny (Fernanda) Burke, Cory Mellor, Bryan Mellor, Kimberly (Jeff) Hollenbeck, Richie Schmitt, Christine (Mike) Landers, Mary Joe (Tim) Bowens, Steven (Aubrey) Mowers, and Josh Mowers; thirteen great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Beverly worked for the United States Post Office as a postmaster for 33 years, retiring in 1998 from the Spencerport Post Office. She was a devoted member of St. John’s Parish in Spencerport.
A service of remembrance was held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 10:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Church (55 Martha St, Spencerport, NY 14559). In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly’s memory may be directed to St. John’s Church or to Wilmot Cancer Center (Alumni and Advancement Center, 300 E. River Rd., PO Box 278996, Rochester, NY 14627).
