ALBION: Tupis, Carolyn Kurfiss, passed away September 18, 2026, upon celebrating over 100 years of life. Though born in Ennis, Montana, on December 1, 1925, to Elwood and Marietta (Armitage) Kurfiss, she spent most of her life in the Rochester, NY area, where she met and married Stephan Tupis, who passed away in 1973.
She is survived by her son, Evhen, and his wife, Melinda (Carroll) Tupis; twin grandsons, Ethan Josef and Spencer Stephan Tupis; and great-granddaughter, Jade Tupis.
Her gentle, nurturing, and kind spirit touched many throughout her century of life, as shown by the outpouring of love shown by so many upon hearing of her passing.
Carolyn was accepted to the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music, where she earned her degree in Music Theory and Education, and taught piano to countless students and adults in the community. She eventually gained employment at Eastman Kodak in the Building 59 Research Labs, where her work was rewarded with two patents in her name.
Carolyn’s passions revolved around the humanities: music, gardening, birding, caring for pets, and her ministry of encouragement to others as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, offering a bright future to anyone who would consider God’s (Ps. 83:18 KJV) promise for the future (Rev. 21:4) on Earth as it is in heaven (Mt 6:9, 10), thoughtfully.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, September 28th at 7:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 14840 East Avenue, Albion, NY, where attendees will hear more about Carolyn’s life and faith.

AREA: Bulmahn, Raymond C., age 81, died September 16, 2026. He was predeceased by his wife, Joanne (Maslanka) Bulmahn. He is survived by his sons, John (Gina) Bulmahn, Joe (Karen Nieport) Bulmahn, Jeffrey Bulmahn, James (Amy) Bulmahn; and grandchildren, Crystal, Alexander, Elijah, Conner, and Kyle.

AREA: Stubing, James “Larry,” died September 19, 2026, at age 84. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Lois Stubing. He is survived by his wife, Maria; children, Daniel (Cyndy), Mary Jo Lee; five grandchildren (including Ritchie); and sister, Nancy Jurs. James graduated from Spencerport High School in 1960. He established and managed Carlton and Stubing Trucking for many years. James enjoyed cooking and traveling. He received the Churchville Beautification Award in 2003 and was also an active YMCA Westside member.

BROCKPORT: Clark, Richard T. Jr., age 79, died September 18, 2026. He was born September 28, 1946, in Rochester. Richard is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughter, Courtney (Stephen) Clark-DeLong; grandsons, Rian Clark and Andrew Thomas DeLong; brother, Dennis (JoAnn) Clark; sister, MaryLu (Robert) Chase; brother-in-law, Tom (Cathy) Huss; sister-in-law, Jeannie Huss; several nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and other loved ones. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Richard Sr. and Rita (Lynch) Clark; sister, Helen Ferrara; and brother-in-law, Donald Huss. Richard was a lifelong member of OEU Local 832, spending much of his career at General Crushed Stone in Rochester. His later years saw him at Eastman Kodak Company, from where he retired. He was a long-time member of Braemar Country Club. Club champion and senior club champion titles were plenty. He enjoyed playing with his grandsons, reading, and shopping (he was a bit of a clothes horse). He had a lifelong love of ceramics.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, September 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Walker Brothers Funeral Home, 15 West Avenue, Spencerport. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, September 30, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 55 Martha Street, Spencerport, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue, Rochester. BROCKPORT: Sheffer, Brandon James, died suddenly September 19, 2026, at age 20. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Elaine (Higgs) McPherson; grandfather, James Pittard; great-grandparents, Frank (Susan) Herman, Rosalie (Aqualina) Sheffer, Lauritta (Lake) Conner, Earl Higgs, and Ruth (Francis) Pittard. Brandon is survived by his parents, Kay Pittard and Eric Sheffer; younger brother, Collin Sheffer; grandparents, James (Jeanne) Sheffer; many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends, and his prized faithful companion, Sir Marlowe Tennyson Sheffer (“Marley”). Brandon was a graduate of Brockport High School. He was an avid athlete, playing soccer and wrestling, and was proficient in Taekwondo as a second-degree black belt and a member of an elite demonstration team. Brandon loved cars, trucks, and motorcycles and was always buying, repairing, and selling. He incorporated his own business, Bold Seal, LLC, this past year and aspired to expand. Brandon had a beautiful smile and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a strong sense of social justice and was protective of those in need, those he loved, and especially of his treasured younger brother.

CHILI: Caster, Edward F., died September 12, 2026, at age 90. He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Margaret Mary; infant son, Thomas Edward; daughter, Patricia; and grandson, Michael John. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ellen; children, Mary Ellen (Robert) Dunning and Ted (Cheryle) Caster; grandchildren, Nicole Hunter, Nicholas (Christina) Caster, Ryan Dunning, Thomas Caster, Maire (Michael) Jelenic, Autumn Hunter, and Margaret (Nicholas) Colucci; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Eaton; and dear friends. Ed attended Ithaca College before being drafted into military service in 1959. He was stationed at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he played trumpet in the West Point Band. While working at Eastman Kodak Company, he became a member of the Kodak Band. He shared his love of music by playing in several community bands throughout the years. Ed was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was actively involved in his parish community. For 35 years, he served as a pianist with the St. Pius Music Ministry, where his commitment made him a beloved part of the church.

CHILI: Kuder, Sandra B., died September 13, 2026. She was predeceased by her parents, Howard and Mary Benjamin. Sandi is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Patrick Kuder; daughters, Cindi Rittenhouse and Kristi Trelegan (Bryan); son, Brian Rittenhouse (Elise); daughter, Kari Doffermyre (Eric); sons, Jason Kuder (Annetta) and Travis Kuder; 11 grandchildren, Christopher, Hannah, Sam, Deanna, Harley, Hailey, Owen, Sean, Zoey, Wyatt, and Morgan; four great-grandchildren; and faithful dog, Sally. A homemaker while her children were young, Sandi later worked for many years at Horizon Solutions, beginning on the sales counter and eventually working in Electrical Industrial Sales. It was there that she met Pat. Sandi loved to cook, bake, and play golf. She spent years playing league golf with Genesee Valley Women’s Golf Association.

HILTON: Montrallo, Delores “Dee” (Denny), age 95, died September 16, 2026. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, David Montrallo; parents, George and Gladys (Male) Denny; and brothers, George and James. She is survived by her children, Victoria (Tyler) Lee, David (Debbie) Montrallo, Pamela Montrallo, and Terry (Vera) Montrallo; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Henshaw and Barbara LeFevre; and many relatives and close friends. Together with her husband, David, she embraced several business ventures, most notably Dee’s Clothes Rack and Davidio’s Restaurant. Her entrepreneurial spirit reflected her creativity, strong work ethic, and natural flair for fashion, design, and hospitality. She will also be remembered for her culinary talents, tender heart for animals, and generous spirit.

HILTON: West, Constance L., died September 16, 2026, at age 91. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. West; parents, William and Julia Maxwell; brothers, William, John, Warren, and Roger Maxwell; and sisters, Virginia Southcott, Marjorie Justice, and Wanda Francis. She is survived by her children, Danny West, Sandra West, William (Cynthia) West, Michael (Nobuko) West, Curt (Michele) West, and Deborah (David) Dennison; 14 grandchildren, Jackson, Julia, Danielle, Rebecca, Christina, Robert, Kate, Caroline, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Sada, Hunter, Megan, and Amber; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was a talented crafter and enjoyed collecting antiques and gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

SPENCERPORT: Doud, Richard Gerard, died September 17, 2026, at age 85. Richard was the devoted husband of Patricia, his wife of nearly 64 years. He was predeceased by his sister, Alice O’Shaughnessy, and brother, John Doud. He is survived by his brother, William Doud; children, Kevin, Stephen (Michele), and Joanne; grandchildren, Joshua Louth (Amanda), Stephen Doud (Natalie), Scott Doud (Nikki), Dana Doud, Maxwell Doud, and Hannah McBeth; and great-grandchildren. Richard served in the U.S. Army and was honored to participate in an Honor Flight. He was also a longtime member of the Spencerport Rotary Club. After retiring from Eastman Kodak Company, Richard and Patricia divided their time between their home in New York and Ocala, Florida. Rest peacefully, Richard. You were deeply loved, and your memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.

SPENCERPORT: Krenzer, Shirley Ann, age 90, died September 18, 2026. She is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Gene Krenzer; children, Michael (Leigh) Krenzer, Sandi (Gary) Senator, Tracey (Rob Ricci) Krenzer, and Donald Krenzer; grandchildren, Heather (Rich) Held and Billy (Alli) Krenzer; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Fredalina Lyon Sr.; mother- and father-in-law, Leo and Letitia Krenzer; grandson, Jonathan Krenzer; son-in-law, Robert Parker; and daughter-in-law, Barb Klinkbeil. She worked for many years at the Monroe Cooperative Extension and Gates Chili School District, from which she retired. She was a club leader for Blue Birds and 4-H. She enjoyed day trips to casinos, wineries, waterfalls, parks, and flower gardens.

SPENCERPORT: McCullough, Joane, died September 12, 2026, at age 95. She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Fred (Jay) McCullough Jr., and brother, Robert Herman. She is survived by her sons, Fred “Rick” and his wife, Jill (Wood), and Michael “Mac” and his wife, Jan (Patton); grandchildren, Jamie (Dawn), Jennifer (Tom), Andrea (Gene), Amanda (Bryan), and Stacy; four great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Herman (Pat); and several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed reading, liked her flower gardens, and loved walking both outdoors and at the mall for exercise.
A Private Service will take place at a later date. Interment at Parma Union Cemetery.
