Immersive PRISM concert performance at C-C PAC April 16
A unique musical experience will be hosted at the Churchville-Chili Performing Art Center (C-C PAC) on April 16 at 7 p.m. – the Churchville-Chili Central School District’s first PRISM concert. The PRISM experience is interactive and immersive, with both small and large musical groups positioned all around the performance space: on the stage, in the balconies, on different sides and levels. The audience sits in the middle, surrounded by an ever-changing rainbow of musical colors, tones and genres.
“It’s multifaceted, exciting and full of surprises,” says Churchville-Chili Senior High School music teacher and program coordinator Terry Bacon. “Some of the repertoire is traditional and serious, some more experimental and light-hearted. The High School Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will be major players, but PRISM is a way to really showcase our best small chamber groups: trios, quartets and quintets. It will be a fast-moving night of wonderful music coming at the audience from all directions.”
The Churchville-Chili Senior High School PRISM concert is free and open to all.
