Brockport Central School District reports that it has incorporated the Building Excellence in Students Today in Brockport Foundation (BEST in Brockport) and its application for charitable status is pending with the IRS. This marks the final step in the official creation of the charitable BEST in Brockport Foundation.
The Foundation will provide a means for enhancing the education of the Brockport CSD’s students.
The Foundation will be a separate entity and has agreed to partner with the BCSD to make the district aware of its activities. In addition, it will become a source for attracting increased community involvement, providing much needed financial support for programs the district would otherwise be unable to carry out through the allocation of district funds.
The next meeting of the Foundation, is Monday, November 9 at 6 p.m. in the District Board Room.
