Hilton Community Education has plenty of course offerings in March
March is a busy time for Hilton School District Community Education with many offerings available to both district residents and non-residents.
Learn the basics of money management and the importance of a credit score by attending Budgeting 101 and Understanding Your Credit Report. Check out the Estate Planning class for a basic overview and steps necessary for estate planning.
During the spring time, people often think about buying or building a home, or investing in real estate. Hilton Community Education can help with Building from the Ground Up, First Time Home Buyers, and Investing in Real Estate. For ways to spruce up the home, sign up for Perennial Gardening.
Other hands on courses include Basic and Advanced Knife Skills for Cooking, as well as Knitting and Crocheting.
Have a puppy or dog that needs guidance in obedience and displaying better manners? Contact the Community Education Office for information on a certified dog trainer who provides various levels of instruction.
Safety courses include AED/CPR training through the Hilton Fire Department. Reduce vehicle insurance rate by 10 percent by taking the AAA Six-Hour Defensive Driving class. No need to go to the Department of Motor Vehicles to take a learner’s permit test – Hilton High School offers online testing for Hilton students.
For those that have a driver’s permit and are not taking a driver education class or have a revoked/expired license, take the NYS DMV Five-Hour Pre-Licensing Course offered through HCS Community Education.
Thoughts of a vacation with the possibility of scuba diving or creating memorable vacation photos? PADI Scuba® is offered by appointment at various levels of instruction and part two of the Digital SLR Camera Seminar will enhance anyone’s photographic skills.
HCS Community Education has a three-part series titled Preparing for the Business World that is ideal for young professionals new to the workforce or seasoned professionals wanting to polish their skills. Other opportunities for learning new skills are available through online classes.
For those with free time during the day, Yoga With or Without a Chair is offered at Georgetown Park Clubhouse located at 510 Georgetown Circle in Greece. Want to lose some extra winter pounds or just become healthier? Consider one or more of the popular fitness classes.
