Hilton Drumline places first at East Regional Competition

The Hilton Winter Drumline placed first at the WGI East Regional Preliminary Competition on March 16 in Toms River, NJ where they outscored 20 drumlines from seven eastern states. The group was also awarded a promotion to the prestigious Percussion Scholastic Open (PSO) Class – a division that includes many of the most advanced scholastic drumlines in the world. Hilton placed fourth out of nine drumlines in the PSO Class Finals on March 17. Hilton will compete again at the NYS Percussion Circuit Championships in Syracuse on April 7, and the WGI World Championships in Dayton, OH, April 11 through 13. The Hilton Winter Drumline includes students in grades seven through 12, and is directed by music teacher Tim Stodd.
